Angiolino Maule, Pico 2018

Each year, grapes for Pico are carefully selected from the top of the estate's volcanic vineyards at their highest elevation. 100% Garganega fermented with native yeast and no temperature control and then aged for 12 months in enormous used oak barrels (15 hectoliters big, to be exact).

Incredible structure, with notes of apricot, orange peel, and alsam. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfur. Ideal temperatures and weather during the growing season allows this vintage to really sing.
