Collection: Les Vignes d'Olivier
Argelliers, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Olivier Cohen is an enigmatic young winemaker from the Languedoc, in the area behind Montpellier called the Hérault. His passion for natural wine developed behind the bars of La Part des Anges and Vinivore in Nice, before he travelled to Corsica to begin to learn how to make wine of his own.
After an initial stint with stellar winemaker Antoine Arena, he followed with apprenticeships at Domaine Valette (Maçon), Frederick Rivaton (Roussillon) and finally with the legendary Thierry Allemand in Cornas. He finally started work in his own vineyard in 2013 in the Languedoc, acquiring the winery and the vines from retiring winemaker Bernard Boubal.
Today he is known for his expressive Rosés and fascinating Reds. We are also huge fans of La Déferlant cuvées; zero-zero, non-vintage négoçiant wines, which became an accidental cult favourite after his vineyard suffered losses due to mildew In 2018.
