Cosmic Vinyaters, Encarinyades 2021

This wine has a mission statement: to show the delicacy and depth of Carignan varieties that are the heritage of Empordà. This re-interpretation of the magic of white, red, and gray Carignan comes from young, middle-aged, and old vines from Puig-Rodó (planted in 2014) and Agullana (planted in 1964).

Red fruits, good acidity, a touch of minerality, and pleasing mouthfeel. Good potential for aging if you have the restraint.

 Biodynamic farming practices, sacred geometry, and the Mediterranean Pre-Pyrenean climate all add nuance to the fruit’s expression. Hand harvested, destemmed, macerated with skins on for five days before pressing and fermentation 100 percent in clay amphora. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfites.
