Cosmic Vinyaters, Passió 2021

Two different local grapes from two different vineyards combine to make a wine that is “born as a result of the true love that I feel for the vineyard and for all of the lands that I work.” Both plots enjoy a Mediterranean climate that makes for a sturdy yet fresh red wine perfectly suited to any situation involving red meat. 

70 percent Marselan and 30 percent Sumoll from vineyards La Solana (20 year old vines in sandy granite soil at 500 meters above sea level) and Camp del Boter (5 year old vines in calcareous-clay soil at 310 meters above sea level).

Hand harvested and destemmed. On-skin maceration for a week before spontaneous fermentation from autochthonous yeast between stainless steel and amphore. Aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.

As above (in the vineyard), so below (in the cellar): minimal intervention and a holistic approach that focuses on energetic baths as well as biodynamic farming.
