Costadilà, 450SLM 2021

A sparkling blend packed with character (and minerality) thanks to soils of marl, gravel, and clay. Terrific acidity, very fresh. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfites.

A true zero zero of Glera and Verdiso grapes from vines planted in 1953 in the hills north of Venice in the province of Treviso. Crafted in the local tradition and named after the elevation of the parcel.

The no-nonsense approach carries over into vinification, where only indigenous yeasts are used and the second fermentation occurs col fondo (refermentation in the bottle with added must from the same vintage). After a short maceration on the skins, the wine ferments in stainless steel and ages in large oak barrels.
