Jean Ginglinger, Pinot Noir Sandstein 2020

Jean Ginglinger’s Pinot Noir comes from old Alsatian vines thriving in sandstone soils. Once again, Jean puts in the work in the field so that the cellar process is mostly grapes plus time.

Stringent biodynamic practices and minimal interference with the land, including replacing farm machinery with his hands and his horse to stop soil from being needlessly compacted. Fermented with indigenous yeasts. Aged in old oak foudre, bottled unfined and unfiltered and with no added sulfites. Already an elegant Pinot Noir, despite its relative youth.
